Helping you Meet your Clients’ Philanthropic Needs

Many Catholics want to support their favorite parishes, schools and ministries in ways that are lasting and beneficial to them as well as the organization. The Roman Catholic Foundation is here to work with you and your clients to help them achieve their philanthropic goals.

The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity, independent from the Archdiocese of St. Louis, that connects donors to Catholic ministries to sustain the local Church for future generations. We strive to maximize desired outcomes for donors and the Catholic organizations they love and will help you and your clients navigate the many Catholic causes in our region, connecting them with those best aligned with their interests.

Why Work with the Foundation?

The Foundation can help you better serve your Catholic clients. Your philanthropic Catholic clients will feel secure knowing that all investments at the Foundation are screened according to the Socially Responsible Investment Guidelines established by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Further, the Foundation has a track record of success, holding $37 million in assets and routinely managing complex charitable transactions. Review our 990s and audited financial statements for a detailed look at how we work.

“The Roman Catholic Foundation has provided my clients with the resources needed to create the type of legacy gifts they had hoped to create. Donors working with the Foundation’s expert staff are presented with the information they need in a way that is easily understood.

This makes the planning and execution process very easy and comfortable for all involved.”

Build Your Knowledge through PIPA

PIPA (Philanthropic Institute for Professional Advisors) represents a collaboration between the Roman Catholic Foundation, the St. Louis Community Foundation and the Jewish Federation of St. Louis. We have joined with these organizations to provide an educational opportunity for financial, legal and accounting professionals to better incorporate charitable planning conversations into their practice.

The purpose of PIPA is to provide an annual educational forum for leading professional advisors in the St. Louis region. Wealth, tax and legal advisors will benefit from this unique opportunity. The goal is to improve philanthropic outcomes and impact by equipping our region’s best professional advisors with the tools and skills they need to better facilitate values-based client conversations.

PIPA creates greater understanding of the values that motivate philanthropy and the ways to satisfy client intentions. As participants hone their values-based communication skills, they will also have the opportunity to form strong and enduring professional ties.

PIPA participants will:

  • Learn how to approach financial, tax and estate planning through the lens of the client’s personal values leading to deeper, multi-generational client relationships
  • Benefit from expert instruction regarding their communication styles and strategic thinking skills
  • Hear from charitably-oriented families as to the positive outcomes that a philanthropic plan has had on their family and the benefits their philanthropy has had throughout the community
  • Gain confidence in communicating with clients about philanthropy.
